Honoring survivors
The Fighter Fund is in honor of our friend and board member Zoe Bellatorre. Bellatorre means “fighter” in Italian and Zoe inspires us to fight for survivors every single day. As a victim advocate, Zoe has seen firsthand how challenging it can be for survivors to make ends meet and it is with her guidance that we have started The Fighter Fund to provide emergency funds for the immediate needs of survivors.
What needs are you meeting with your donation?

Emergency Housing - Sometimes survivors need a soft place to land for a night or two, whether they have recently escaped an exploitative situation or they just need support while healing.

Utilities - If you have ever been short on funds you know how stressful it can be to worry about your heating being turned off, and losing access to your cell phone.

Groceries - Inflation hits survivors harder than anyone. Many of them are living paycheck to paycheck during their healing. Let’s make sure they get the nourishment they need.

Medical and Dental - Survivors often escape a life of exploitation only to face a lifetime of health consequences, chronic illness, and injuries.

Child Care - Children are precious, and sometimes survivors need support in caring for their children so they can go to appointments and work.

And More… - The Fighter Fund also supports transportation, self-care, therapy, clothing, bedding, furnishing, and other miscellaneous needs of the survivor community.
